This is a wide, low stoneware bowl in black, 17cm across and 5.5cm tall, finished in a shimmering glaze. Fine vertical ribs run all the way around the outside, from a narrow plain band at the rim down to a neat foot, while the inside is left smooth. It holds 625ml, which makes it a generous everyday bowl rather than a small dish: room for a proper helping of cereal, porridge or soup, and wide enough for a salad or a pasta supper. It weighs 0.55KG.
