Description

Nash is a stoneware bowl with a rim that will not sit still: the edge rises and dips in soft, irregular waves, so it reads more like a ruffled petal than a piece of everyday tableware. The walls carry a rippled texture under a glossy brown finish that shifts in tone as the light moves across it, and the inside settles into fine concentric rings at the centre. It measures 24.5cm across and 10cm tall and holds 1500ml, which makes it a serving bowl for the whole table rather than a bowl for one.

Because it is approved for food, it earns its place at the table as well as on the shelf. A leafy salad, a big bowl of pasta, roasted vegetables or a heap of fruit on the kitchen counter all sit comfortably in it, and the wide, open shape makes it easy for everyone to help themselves.
