The Monte 1 Light Medium Outdoor Lantern in black is a wall-mounted light that draws on traditional barware, with cut glass panes carrying an etched argyle pattern. The clear glass is held within an aluminium frame finished in matt black, giving a classic shape that sits close to the wall. A single lamp behind the faceted glass throws light through the detailing, so the lantern gives a soft glow while the decorative panes do their work by day.

This lantern suits front porches, entrance walls, side passages and garden walls where you want a light with a little character. The IP44 rating means it copes with splashes and rain from most directions, so it works well under an eave, beside a door or along a covered path. Its size makes it a comfortable fit for both period homes and more modern exteriors, and it pairs neatly in twos either side of a door where the wall allows.

The frame is aluminium and carries a 3 year anti-corrosion guarantee, so it stands up to weather over time. The finish is black throughout, matched against clear cut glass. It takes one E27 lamp up to 60W, which is not included, so you can choose the brightness and colour temperature that suits the spot, warm or cooler as you prefer. The fitting is compatible with dimmable lamps if you pair it with a suitable dimmer.
