The Mogano 1 is a single pendant light with a wide, rounded steel dome, finished with a white outside and a copper inside. The shade is 40cm across and the light is 110cm tall overall, hanging on a slim white cord from a neat round ceiling rose in the same white. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 60W, and the bulb is not included, which leaves the choice of a warm or a cool light entirely yours. The IP20 rating settles where it can go: indoors, in a dry room, well away from water.

Over a dining table it really comes into its own: sit beneath it and the copper inside shows as a warm band of colour under the rim, while the white outside stays calm and clean against pale walls. It sits just as happily in a living room, hung above a coffee table or beside the sofa, where a 40cm shade has enough presence to anchor a seating area without crowding the ceiling. It suits anyone who likes a simple, rounded shape with a touch of warmth, and because the bulb is your own choice, you can match the light to the mood of each room.

The body is steel, and steel holds its shape well, so the dome keeps its clean, even curve.
