Description

A tall jug blown from recycled glass, 25cm high and 17cm across, with a faint green cast to the glass. The body is ribbed from foot to lip in close vertical flutes that narrow with the wall as it rises, and the glass sits thickest at the base where the ribs run deepest. The rim rolls outwards into a flat collar and is drawn forward on one side into a broad spout. A smooth clear handle is applied opposite in a single loop, from just under the collar down to the lower body.

It holds 2500ml, which is enough for water to go round a table of six without a refill, and it stands tall enough to take cut stems when it is not wanted for the table. The base is 17cm across, so it stays steady on a tray or a board. It is food safe.

The glass is recycled. Waste glass is collected and washed to take out impurities, then crushed, melted down and blown by hand into a mould, which is what leaves the irregular surface and the green tinge. The Minati range also holds tumblers, wine glasses and champagne flutes.
