Description
The Milo 7040T/P is an oval bulkhead wall light that takes a single E27 (ES) lamp rated up to 25W, running on 220-240V AC. A bulkhead light is the round or oval surface fitting often used by doorways and in utility areas, and US buyers will know the outdoor version as a wall pack or wall sconce. It accepts a GLS, CFL or LED lamp, so the light tone and brightness depend on the bulb you choose rather than being fixed into the fitting.
Measuring 165 by 100 by 110 mm, the Milo throws a soft, even spread from its diffuser rather than a tight directional beam, lighting the area immediately around it. With its IP44 splash rating it suits bathroom zones and covered or sheltered outdoor spots such as a porch, carport or covered entrance. It is not made for fully exposed positions, direct water jets or submersion, so keep it clear of areas that take the full force of the weather. Both wall and ceiling mounting are supported.
Built from plastic in a grey finish and weighing 410 g, the fitting carries an IK06 impact rating for everyday knocks. The E27 holder is supplied without a lamp, letting you match the colour temperature to the room, and dimming depends on the lamp fitted. Mounting is via the surface back plate to a wall or ceiling. This range includes matching bulkheads for porch, hallway and utility schemes.

Frequently Asked
Can the Milo bulkhead be used outdoors?
It carries an IP44 rating, so it is splash resistant and suited to covered or sheltered outdoor spots such as a porch or carport. Avoid fully exposed positions, direct water jets or anywhere it would be submerged.
Is a bulb included?
No, the fitting is supplied without a lamp. It takes a single E27 (ES) lamp up to 25W, and you can use a GLS, CFL or LED bulb to suit your preferred brightness and tone.
Where is this bulkhead typically used?
It works well by entrances, in hallways, bathrooms and utility areas, and in covered outdoor spots. Both wall and ceiling mounting are supported, so it can sit above a door or on a ceiling soffit.
How do I clean the bulkhead?
Switch off the power and let any lamp cool, then wipe the diffuser and body with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners on the plastic finish so the grey surface stays clear.
