Description

The Mercury 3 core round mains cable is a 100m reel of flexible PVC-sheathed cable with a 0.5mm² cross-sectional area, rated for a maximum 3A current. The cable comprises three conductors, each containing 16 strands of 0.2mm diameter copper wire, giving the cable flexibility for routing through conduit, around corners and through tight spaces during installation.

Designed for light electrical applications including table lamp and floor lamp wiring, low-power control circuits, and appliance connections where the load does not exceed 3A at mains voltage. The black PVC outer sheath provides abrasion resistance and insulation, with an overall cable diameter of 5.6mm that fits standard cable clips and grommets. The 100m reel length suits commercial installations, contractor work and workshop stock where multiple runs are needed from a single reel.

The cable carries both BSI BS6500 and VDE certification, confirming compliance with British and European safety standards for flexible cabling. The round profile and multi-strand construction make it easier to handle than solid-core alternatives, particularly where the cable needs to be routed through existing installations or bent around obstacles.
