Memory 4 Light Chandelier - Black

The Memory is a 4 light chandelier built on a matt black metal frame with four opal glass dome shades suspended from asymmetric curved arms. Each arm extends from a central vertical stem at different heights and angles, creating an unbalanced composition that reads as sculptural rather than symmetrical. The four E14 bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the opal glass domes, which diffuse the light into a soft ambient glow.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Memory provides distributed light across a horizontal spread of approximately 900mm. The drop is adjustable between 57.5cm and 77.5cm on installation by shortening the suspension rod, allowing the chandelier to be set lower over a dining table or higher in a double-height hallway. The matt black finish on the metal frame contrasts with the translucent white of the opal glass, giving the fitting a contemporary profile that works in both modern and traditional interiors.

The arms are welded to a central stem that connects to a matching black ceiling rose. The opal glass domes are approximately 200mm diameter each, large enough to provide meaningful light output when fitted with 40W-equivalent LED bulbs but not so large as to overwhelm a typical 3m x 4m dining area. The IP20 rating limits the chandelier to dry indoor locations — living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways, but not bathrooms or outdoor covered porches.

What bulbs does it take?

The Memory uses four E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each rated up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit 5-7W LED bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient dining room or living room lighting.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The suspension rod allows adjustment between 57.5cm and 77.5cm during installation. For dining tables, most installers set the chandelier 70-80cm above the table surface, which typically requires a ceiling height of 2.6m or above.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs fitted. If you install dimmable LED bulbs and pair the chandelier with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer switch, the light output can be controlled. The chandelier itself has no electronic components that would prevent dimming.

What room size does it suit?

The 900mm horizontal spread and four-bulb configuration suit dining areas of 3m x 4m up to approximately 4m x 5m. In larger rooms the Memory works well as a zone light over a dining table or seating area rather than as the primary ambient source for the entire space.
