Description

The Marea Small is a 47cm LED wall or ceiling light built around an organic flowing form inspired by water currents. The fitting comprises three interconnected undulating loops in sandblasted white metal with an opal silicone diffuser behind the surface, creating a seamless glow when the integrated 14W LED is lit. The fitting can be mounted flush to walls or ceilings, oriented horizontally or vertically depending on the mounting surface and room geometry.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways, landings and living rooms where ambient light is needed without a traditional central pendant or recessed downlights, the Marea pairs functional lighting with sculptural form. The 5cm projection from the mounting surface makes it suitable for low ceilings and narrow corridors where deeper fittings would intrude. The 800 lumens at 3000K warm white provides enough output for a small bedroom or a section of hallway without creating harsh shadows.

The sandblasted white finish on the metal body has a fine matte texture that diffuses reflections and pairs with white or off-white walls, while the opal silicone diffuser spreads the LED light evenly across the visible surface. The fitting weighs 0.9kg, making it light enough to mount on plasterboard walls with appropriate fixings. The IP20 rating limits installation to dry indoor areas only.

Can this be mounted on a ceiling as well as a wall?

Yes. The Marea Small is designed for flush mounting on either walls or ceilings. It can be oriented horizontally or vertically depending on the mounting surface and the room layout.

Is the LED dimmable?

The integrated 14W LED typically requires a compatible trailing-edge dimmer. Dimmer compatibility is not guaranteed with all dimmer models, so please contact us before pairing with a dimmer switch.

What output does 800 lumens provide?

800 lumens at 3000K warm white is roughly equivalent to a 60W incandescent bulb. It provides ambient light for a small bedroom, hallway section, or landing, but would not be sufficient as the sole light source in a larger living room or kitchen.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating limits the Marea to dry indoor areas only. It cannot be installed in bathrooms, shower rooms, or outdoor locations.
