Description
The Marble is an 8-light chandelier built on eight extended brass arms radiating from a central black marble cylinder, each arm terminating in a white opal glass globe. The arms span 81cm diameter and are arranged symmetrically around the central hub, which pairs brushed brass metalwork with a polished black marble band that provides both visual weight and material contrast to the warmer brass tone.
Designed for large living rooms, dining areas and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the chandelier provides ambient lighting through eight E27 bulb positions (bulbs sold separately). The opal glass diffuses light in all directions rather than focusing it downward, making the fitting more decorative than task-focused. Typical installation height above a dining table is 750-850mm from table surface to the base of the globes, or 2.1-2.3m floor-to-glass in an entrance hall.
The combined brass, marble and opal glass construction gives the chandelier a presence that works in both mid-century modern and contemporary transitional interiors. The black marble cylinder interrupts what would otherwise be an all-brass frame, breaking the visual mass and adding a cool-toned accent that pairs with darker joinery, black window frames or charcoal upholstery. At 56cm drop and 81cm diameter, the fitting suits rooms of at least 4m x 4m to avoid overwhelming the space.
Each globe sits in a brass cup that conceals the lampholder and provides an upward reflection when the bulbs are lit. The IP20 rating restricts the chandelier to dry interior use only. The chandelier is supplied by Maytoni, a lighting brand focused on accessible modern and classical designs, and carries a 2-year manufacturer guarantee.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
Eight E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to keep running costs low and avoid excessive heat from eight 60W incandescent bulbs.
What room size does it suit?
The 81cm diameter works best in rooms at least 4m x 4m. Smaller rooms can feel overwhelmed by the spread of the arms. Ceiling height should be 2.7m minimum to maintain comfortable headroom below the fitting.
Is the chandelier dimmable?
Dimming depends on the bulbs you fit. If you use dimmable LED bulbs and pair them with a compatible LED dimmer, the chandelier will dim. The fixture itself has no electronics that would prevent dimming.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating means the chandelier is designed for dry interior rooms only. It is not rated for bathrooms, kitchens with steam exposure, or any outdoor or covered exterior locations.
