Description

Magni is a floor lamp in black. A small round magnifying head on a tall slim black stem that curves over at the top, rising from a flat round black disc base. The head is a lens set in a black ring with a hinged cover flipped back off it, and a lit border round the glass throws light onto whatever is held beneath. The stem is a plain round tube with no joints along its length, so the whole lamp reads as one continuous line from foot to lens. The base is small and heavy and sits close beside a chair. Everything but the lens is matt black. It measures 25cm across and 130cm tall, in aluminium and metal.

It stands beside a chair or at the end of a sofa, where it puts one pool of light exactly where it is needed without lighting the whole space. That is what a floor lamp is for: it takes the reading light off the ceiling and puts it at shoulder height, so the room can be lit softly and still be worked in.

The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to buy and none to fit. It is rated IP20, for dry indoor rooms. It carries a G energy label.
