Description

Every low voltage track run needs something to feed it, and this is that part. It is a constant voltage driver giving a steady 48V DC output, with 240W available for the heads along the run. It is a non-dimmable unit, so the light sits exactly where the switch leaves it. The body is a long, narrow black case, slim in section and quiet to look at, so it reads as hardware rather than something to be admired. We stock it as part of the wider Magneto range, alongside the track, joints and end caps that make up a working system.

It is the one we specify when a Magneto run carries more heads than a smaller supply can manage, whether that is a line of spots over a kitchen island, a gallery wall, or a display run in a shop or showroom. Because the output is fixed, it works best where the lighting is switched rather than dimmed, or where dimming is handled by a separate controller on the low voltage side. Add up the wattage of every head you intend to fit, keep a little headroom, and this will do the work for a generous length of track.

The black finish runs across the whole case, so it sits happily with the black track, connectors and end caps in the same range. It is intended for dry indoor rooms and should be kept somewhere it will not be knocked or covered over. Cleaning is a matter of isolating the supply first, then taking dust off the case with a dry cloth; nothing wet and nothing abrasive. It carries a three year warranty. If you want the run on a dimmer, the range also includes a Triac and push switch controller, fitted one per system, and driver and controller are chosen together rather than separately.
