Description

Track systems need something to feed them, and this is the piece that does that work out of sight. It is a slim black bar that seats inside the track itself, so nothing sits below the line of the run. It puts 48V into the system and will carry up to 200W of connected fittings, which is a good many spotlights on a domestic ceiling. At roughly 30cm long it occupies only a short stretch of the track, leaving the rest of the run clear for lights.

We would use one wherever track is doing the lighting for a whole room: above a kitchen island, along a hallway, or across an open plan living space where the spots want moving as the furniture changes. It is made to work with every Magneto track profile, so it fits a shallow surface run, a deep run or a recessed one without a second thought about compatibility. Keep it to dry rooms indoors; a bathroom zone or an unheated outbuilding is not the place for it.

The body is black, like the track and the joints it sits among, so what you see once everything is in is one unbroken dark line and very little hardware. Dust and the odd fingerprint come off with a dry cloth; isolate the circuit at the consumer unit or the wall switch first and let it sit for a moment. It carries a three year warranty. We hold the rest of the range in the same black, from shallow and deep surface track and recessed track to end caps and the L-joints that take a run round a corner or into a wall, so a scheme can be put together from one family of parts.
