Description

This is the power supply that sits behind a Magneto track run: a constant voltage driver holding a steady 48V DC output and rated to 150W for the fittings drawing on it. The casing is a slim black rectangle, low and flat rather than a bulky box, and small enough to keep well out of sight. It is the non-dimmable version, so it feeds the track at full output and asks nothing more of you.

We reach for this one where a magnetic track is doing the everyday work of a room: a kitchen ceiling, a hallway, a long living room wall lined with spots. Add up the load of the heads you plan to run, and there is comfortable headroom here for a decent-sized system with room to add another fitting later. It suits anyone building a system from the ground up rather than swapping out a single light. If the lights need to dim, the range also carries a Triac and push switch dimmable controller, and that is the part to specify in place of this one.

The housing is black, matching the tracks, end caps and joints in the rest of the range, so nothing jars where part of the system stays visible. Looking after it is simple: wipe the case over with a dry cloth when you dust, and leave it space to breathe rather than crowding it. It carries a three year warranty. We stock the whole Magneto family alongside it, from shallow and deep surface track to recessed track, with L-joints for turning corners and a set of deep end caps, so a run can be planned in one go. Track and fittings are ordered separately.
