The tempered glass construction allows the piece to be hung directly against the wall using the included ironwork fixings, giving a floating appearance. What wall fixings are needed?

The piece weighs 10kg and includes ironwork hanging brackets. For masonry walls, use two heavy-duty screws or wall plugs rated to 15kg minimum. For plasterboard, use specialist cavity fixings designed for glass or heavy mirrors. Check the assembly instruction PDF for the exact bracket placement.

Does the glass show fingerprints?

The front surface is smooth tempered glass, so it will show fingerprints and smudges if touched. Clean with a standard glass cleaner and microfibre cloth. The print itself sits on the reverse of the glass, protected from contact.

Can it be hung in a bathroom or kitchen?

Tempered glass is moisture-resistant and the print is sealed behind the glass, so the piece can be used in bathrooms and kitchens. Avoid positioning directly above hobs or in constant steam exposure, as prolonged condensation on the glass surface may leave water marks that need regular cleaning.

Is the image a photograph of Earth?

The image uses a miniature-planet photographic technique that warps a wide landscape into a spherical form, creating the appearance of a small planet. The clouds, land and atmospheric detail are photographic, but the spherical composition is a digital effect rather than a satellite view.
