Description

The LYYT SideBend NW is a 30m reel of side-bendable LED tape (also called LED strip in the US) that runs on 24V DC. At just 4mm wide and 8mm tall, it bends more easily than standard tape, so you can route it around curves and corners without kinks. The frosted extrusion surface spreads the light evenly, which means you get a smooth run of illumination without needing a separate profile to diffuse it.

This version gives you Natural White light at 4000K, drawing 10W per metre with a current of 417mA per metre. The tape is cut to length at 33.3mm intervals, so you can trim it to fit your project. One end comes with 2m of 22AWG DC cable already attached, and once you have cut the tape to size you add cabling and seal the ends with end caps. We recommend a maximum run of 10m from a single power supply. Installation accessories are available separately.

With an IP66 rating and a 110-degree beam angle, the SideBend NW suits both home and commercial jobs. It is designed to sit in a recess or a routed channel in walls and floors, where the low profile and clean light make it a tidy option for concealed and architectural lighting. The tape uses 5mm SMD LEDs. The range also includes Warm White (2700K) and Cool White (5000K) if you need a different colour temperature.

How long can a single run be?

We recommend a maximum run length of 10m from one power supply. The full reel is 30m, so longer installations should be split across multiple supplies.

Can I cut the tape to length?

Yes. The tape can be cut at 33.3mm intervals, so you can size it to your project. After cutting, attach DC cabling and seal the ends with end caps.

Does it need a profile or diffuser?

No. The frosted extrusion surface spreads the light evenly on its own, giving a smooth look without a separate profile.

What power supply does it use?

It runs on 24V DC and draws 10W per metre. Size your power supply to the total run length, keeping within the 10m recommendation per supply.
