Description
The LYYT SideBend CW is a 30m run of side bend LED tape (LED strip in US terms) built to fit where standard tape struggles. At just 4mm wide and 8mm tall, it bends more easily than traditional tape, so you can follow curves and corners without adding a profile. The frosted extrusion surface spreads the light evenly across its length, giving a smooth line of illumination rather than visible dots. This version runs at a cool white 5000K colour temperature, with warm white and natural white also available in the range.
Running on 24V DC, the tape suits modern installs and keeps voltage drop in check over longer runs. We recommend a maximum run length of 10m from a single power supply, and the tape draws 10W per metre at 417mA per metre. You can cut it to length at 33.3mm intervals to match your project, then attach DC cabling and seal the ends with caps. One end comes with 2m of 22AWG DC cable already fitted, so you have a starting point ready to wire in.
With an IP66 rating and a 110 degree beam angle, the SideBend CW works across home and commercial jobs, including damp or exposed spots. It is designed to sit in a recess or a routed channel in walls and floors, where its slim shape and side bend flexibility come into their own. The tape uses 5mm SMD LEDs. Installation accessories are sold separately, so you can pick the power supply, connectors and end caps that suit your setup.

Frequently Asked
What is the maximum run length from one power supply?
We recommend a maximum of 10m from a single power supply. For the full 30m you will need to split the run across multiple supplies to keep the light consistent.
Can I cut the tape to length?
Yes. You can cut it at 33.3mm intervals to match your project, then attach DC cabling and seal the ends with caps.
Does it need an aluminium profile?
No. The frosted extrusion surface spreads the light evenly on its own, so you get a smooth line without a profile.
Is it suitable for wet or exposed areas?
It carries an IP66 rating, which suits damp and exposed locations. It is designed to sit in a recess or routed channel in walls and floors.
What colour temperatures are available?
This CW version is 5000K cool white. The range also includes warm white at 2700K and natural white at 4000K.
Does it come with cable fitted?
Yes, one end has 2m of 22AWG DC cable already attached, giving you a starting point to wire in.
