Description

The LYYT RGB LED strip kit provides a 5m reel of IP68-rated LED tape with 30 SMD5050 RGB LEDs per metre, packaged with a 12V UK power adaptor, an IR remote controller and the necessary connectors to install the system without additional parts. The IP68 waterproof rating permits full submersion in water, making the strip suitable for pond lighting, bathroom feature lighting behind mirrors or under baths, and outdoor applications where the tape will be exposed to rain or pooled water.

Designed for DIY installation in homes, caravans, cars and commercial vehicles, the strip has a self-adhesive backing that bonds to clean, dry surfaces including wood, metal, tile and plastic. The 12V low-voltage operation removes the need for a qualified electrician in most domestic applications, and the strip can be cut at 10cm intervals to fit precise lengths. The IR remote cycles through RGB colour options and brightness levels, controlling the entire 5m length from a single controller unit.

Each metre of the strip draws 7.2W at full output, giving a total consumption of 36W for the complete 5m reel. The SMD5050 RGB LEDs produce a beam angle of 130-150°, giving wide-angle colour wash rather than focused spots. The tape measures 12mm wide by 4mm deep in cross-section, allowing it to fit into shallow mounting channels and under kitchen plinths. The included 12V UK adaptor supplies sufficient current for the full 5m reel, and the CR2025 battery for the remote is pre-installed.
