Description
The LYYT 240 LED net light provides a 2m x 2m grid of warm white LEDs on a black rubber cable, designed for draping over hedges, climbing plants, balcony railings or vertical surfaces where you need even coverage rather than linear strings. The net contains 240 individual LEDs spaced across the grid, powered from a single 240V UK mains connection with a 5m total cable length from plug to net.
The IP44 rating allows outdoor installation in areas exposed to rain and moisture, though the controller box should be positioned under cover where possible. The net includes a male connector that allows up to seven sets to be linked end-to-end from one mains plug, extending coverage to 14m width or 14m height depending on orientation. A controller built into the lead offers eight pre-programmed sequences including steady-on, various flash patterns and fades, operated by a single button on the box.
The heavy-duty UV-resistant rubber cable is designed to withstand year-round outdoor exposure without the cable sheath degrading or becoming brittle in sunlight. The 2.17kg weight gives the net enough mass to hang without excessive movement in light wind, while the black cable colour recedes visually against foliage, brickwork and dark cladding. Each net draws 14W at full brightness across all 240 LEDs, making seven linked sets a total 98W load.
The warm white colour temperature sits around 2700K-3000K, giving a soft yellow-toned glow that pairs with traditional outdoor festive lighting and provides ambient rather than task illumination. The net is typically hung vertically on walls, fences and pergolas, or laid horizontally over low hedges and topiary where the grid pattern distributes light evenly across the plant canopy.

Frequently Asked
Can the net lights be left outside all year?
Yes. The IP44 rating and UV-resistant rubber cable are designed for permanent outdoor installation. However, the controller box should be positioned under an eave or in a sheltered location to extend its working life, as repeated wet-dry cycles can eventually affect the electronics.
How do the eight sequences work?
A single button on the controller box cycles through the eight pre-programmed patterns. Press the button repeatedly to move through steady-on, combination flash, wave, sequential, chasing, slow fade, twinkle and slow glow modes. The net remembers the last-used sequence when switched off at the mains.
What happens if I link multiple nets together?
Each net has a male connector allowing up to seven nets to be linked end-to-end from one UK mains plug. All linked nets display the same sequence simultaneously and are controlled from the first net's controller box. Total power draw for seven nets is 98W.
Can the net be shaped or cut to fit smaller spaces?
The net cannot be cut or reshaped without breaking the circuit and rendering sections non-functional. The 2m x 2m size is fixed. For smaller areas, gather or fold the excess net out of view, or drape it in a looser configuration to fill the available space.
