Description

The LYYT 230V red LED rope light is a 50m reel of flexible 13mm-diameter plastic tube containing 36 red LEDs per metre, running directly from 230V mains. The rope is IP44 rated for outdoor use when cut ends and connection joints are properly sealed with the manufacturer's end caps and connectors. Each metre consumes between 3.96W and 4.56W depending on voltage fluctuation, outputting 144-180 lumens per metre.

Designed for architectural outline lighting, signage backlighting, event perimeter marking and seasonal decorative installations, the rope can be cut to length at marked 2m intervals without damaging adjacent sections. The 60mm minimum bending radius allows the rope to follow building edges, handrails, shopfront frames and display structures without kinking the tube or stressing the internal LED circuit. The red output is saturated enough for visibility in daylight and strong enough for wayfinding or safety marking at night.

The 100,000-hour LED lifespan assumes typical use at 230V 50Hz mains with stable voltage. The rope requires a compatible LYYT power lead (static or 8-pattern controller, sold separately) to connect the reel to mains supply. The flexible tube allows coiling for transport and storage between installations, though the rope should not be kinked tighter than the 60mm minimum radius or the internal circuit may fail.

Yes. The rope is marked at 2m intervals where it can be safely cut without damaging the internal circuit. Cutting between these marks will render the adjacent section unusable.
