The Lyria is a 183mm dual-purpose fitting that mounts on walls or low ceilings, pairing a white powder-coated metal backplate with two frosted acrylic spheres. Each sphere houses a 3W integrated LED running at 3000K warm white, giving 6W total output across both lights. The 60mm projection from the wall or ceiling keeps the fitting close to the surface while the spheres diffuse the LED light evenly in all directions.

Designed for hallways, low-ceiling bedrooms, bathrooms (outside shower zones due to IP20 rating), and corridors where ceiling height is limited or a traditional pendant would hang too low, the Lyria provides ambient light without occupying vertical space. When wall-mounted it sits horizontally along the plane of the wall, useful above mirrors, beside beds as reading light, or flanking doorways. The integrated driver is concealed within the metal backplate, so no separate transformer box is needed during installation.

The white finish on the metal frame is applied as powder-coat paint over steel, giving a harder-wearing surface than wet spray finishes and resisting chips from accidental knocks during cleaning. The frosted acrylic spheres soften the LED point sources inside and prevent glare when viewed directly, making the fitting comfortable in corridors and staircases where you pass close to the light. The non-dimmable LEDs are rated for 20,000 hours at 3000K, maintaining warm white output throughout their lifespan.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating restricts the Lyria to dry indoor locations only. It can be used in bathrooms outside shower zones (zone 3, more than 2.25m from a shower head or bath edge), but not directly above baths or within reach of showers where splashing is likely.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 6W LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced by the user. The LED is rated for 20,000 hours, equivalent to approximately 10 years of typical domestic use at 5 hours per day. When the LED reaches end of life, the entire fitting is replaced.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 60mm projection makes the Lyria particularly useful in rooms with low ceilings (2.2-2.4m) where deeper semi-flush or pendant fittings would hang too close to head height. It also works on standard-height ceilings where a low-profile fitting is preferred.

How is it mounted on a wall versus a ceiling?

The same backplate fixes to either surface using two screws through standard electrical mounting points. When wall-mounted, the spheres sit horizontally along the wall plane. When ceiling-mounted, they project downward. The orientation of the backplate determines whether it reads as a wall or ceiling fitting.
