Description
The LumiLife 18W CCT Adjustable LED Recessed Downlight is a 200mm circular ceiling fitting with switchable colour temperature, allowing you to select between 3000K warm white, 4000K cool white, and 6000K daylight via a switch on the external driver. The integrated 18W LED produces 1600 lumens through a 120° beam angle, providing wide, even light distribution across living rooms, offices, retail spaces and corridors.
Installed into ceiling voids with a 200mm cut-out, the downlight sits flush with the ceiling surface and has a 13mm profile excluding the driver unit. The driver connects to 110-240V AC mains and sits separately in the ceiling void, making it compatible with standard UK electrical systems. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor areas only — this is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor installations.
The CCT switch on the driver allows the light output to be changed between three colour temperatures without replacing the fitting, making it adaptable to different uses in the same space. Warm white (3000K) suits residential living areas and hospitality settings, cool white (4000K) works in kitchens and offices, and daylight (6000K) provides task-focused light for workshops and retail environments. The downlight is not dimmable.

Frequently Asked
How do I change the colour temperature?
The colour temperature is selected using a switch on the external driver unit before the downlight is powered on. The switch has three positions: 3000K (warm white), 4000K (cool white), and 6000K (daylight). The colour temperature cannot be changed while the light is in use — it must be switched off at the mains first.
What ceiling void depth is required?
A 200mm diameter cut-out is required in the ceiling surface. The downlight body and driver need a minimum void depth of approximately 50-60mm above the ceiling to fit comfortably, though exact depth depends on the driver placement.
Can it be used in bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating means the downlight is suitable for dry indoor areas only. It is not splash-proof or moisture-resistant, so cannot be used in bathrooms, wet rooms, or any Zone 1 or Zone 2 areas. The specification states Zone 3 only, which is at least 600mm from a water source.
Is it dimmable?
No. The downlight does not support dimmer switches and must be run at full output on a standard on/off circuit.
