Description
The LumiLife 150W LED transformer is a constant voltage driver designed to power 12V LED strip lighting and low-voltage LED bulbs. It converts 230V mains input to stable 12V DC output, preventing the flickering, buzzing and premature failure that can occur when 12V LED loads are powered by non-compatible transformers or older halogen drivers.
Designed for outdoor IP67-rated installations or indoor use where moisture ingress is a concern, the transformer sits inside a sealed aluminium housing measuring 239mm x 67mm x 49mm. The IP67 rating allows the unit to be installed in bathroom zones 1, 2 and 3 (not zone 0), outdoor garden lighting runs, and similar environments where occasional water exposure is expected. The sealed casing prevents dust and moisture from degrading the internal electronics over the rated 40,000-hour lifespan.
This transformer is non-dimmable and should only be used with non-dimmable 12V LED loads. When sizing the transformer to a lighting circuit, allow at least 20% headroom above the total connected LED wattage to prevent overloading and thermal stress. For example, if your LED strip totals 120W, this 150W transformer provides the required margin. If you need dimming capability, Niori stocks dimmable LED transformers in the same wattage range.

Frequently Asked
What's the maximum LED load this transformer can power?
The transformer is rated at 150W output. To prevent overloading, your total connected LED wattage should not exceed 120W (80% of capacity). This 20% margin protects the transformer from thermal stress and extends its lifespan.
Can this be used with dimmable LED strip?
No. This transformer is non-dimmable and will not work correctly with dimmable LED loads or dimmer switches. If you need dimming capability, contact us for a dimmable LED transformer in the same wattage range.
What does the IP67 rating mean?
IP67 means the transformer is dust-tight and can withstand temporary immersion in water up to 1m depth for 30 minutes. This makes it suitable for outdoor garden lighting, bathroom zones 1-3, and other installations where moisture exposure is expected.
What input voltage does it require?
The transformer accepts 230V AC mains input and converts it to stable 12V DC output. It is designed for UK mains electrical systems and should be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 wiring regulations.
