Description

The Lucida is a 5 light semi-flush ceiling light built around a cluster of adjustable white metal arms, each terminating in a white blown glass globe housing a G9 bulb fitting. The arms radiate from a central white metal canopy and can be repositioned on their joints before installation to angle the light where it's needed, either concentrated towards a central area or spread wider across a room.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and kitchens with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Lucida provides general ambient lighting across approximately 12-15m² depending on bulb wattage. The semi-flush mount projects 200mm from the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms where a full pendant drop would intrude. The five G9 fittings accept bulbs up to 40W each (sold separately), allowing a combined output of up to 200W or equivalent LED lumens.

The white blown glass globes diffuse the light evenly, avoiding harsh glare or visible bulb filament, while the matt white metal frame integrates with white or neutral ceilings. Each globe measures approximately 120mm diameter, and the overall spread of the fixture is 780mm at its widest configuration. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations away from bathroom zones.

Yes, the fitting is rated as dimmable. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific G9 bulbs you fit and the dimmer switch model. Pair with dimmable G9 LED bulbs and confirm compatibility with your dimmer before installation.

What bulbs does it take?

The Lucida takes five G9 capsule bulbs, maximum 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting.

Can the arms be adjusted after installation?

The arms can be repositioned on their joints before the bulbs and globes are fitted. Once the globes are in place and the fitting is live, further adjustment is not recommended without isolating the power and removing the globes.

What ceiling height is needed?

The semi-flush design projects 200mm from the ceiling. For rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling height this leaves 2.2m clearance below the lowest point of the fixture, which is suitable for most domestic spaces. Lower ceilings may benefit from a closer-flush alternative.
