Love 9 Light Glass Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - White & Polished Chrome

The Love is an 800mm semi-flush ceiling light built around nine hand-formed clear glass elements, each with a central cavity filled with glossy white resin, mounted on a polished chrome frame. Each glass piece radiates outward from the central chrome hub in a burst pattern, with the white resin cores diffusing the light from nine G4 halogen bulbs (included). The 500mm projection suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above.

Designed for large living rooms, dining rooms and entrance halls where a low ceiling prevents a full suspension pendant but a substantial light fitting is still wanted, the Love provides both ambient illumination and sculptural presence. The 800mm diameter fills the ceiling plane without overwhelming standard 4m x 4m rooms, and the semi-flush mounting keeps the fitting close enough to the ceiling to avoid head clearance issues in spaces with 2.4-2.7m ceiling heights.

Each of the nine glass elements is individually hand-formed, so the exact shape, thickness and internal resin distribution vary between pieces and between fittings. When the nine 20W G4 halogen bulbs are lit, the white resin cores glow with layered translucency while the clear glass outer sections catch and refract light across the chrome frame. The combined weight of 9.5kg requires secure fixing into a ceiling joist or a suitable ceiling anchor rated for the load.

The fitting is dimmable using a trailing-edge dimmer compatible with halogen loads. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient room light during the day, giving the fitting visual presence even when switched off. The white resin provides a softer, warmer appearance than clear glass alone, diffusing the halogen point sources into a more ambient wash.

Are the bulbs included?

Yes. The fitting comes with nine 20W G4 halogen bulbs. G4 LED replacements are not compatible with this design due to the resin-filled glass requiring the specific heat and light spectrum of halogen.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 500mm projection from ceiling to lowest point suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In rooms with 2.4m ceilings the bottom of the fitting will sit approximately 1.9m from the floor, which is acceptable for general circulation but may be low for taller individuals in the centre of the room.

No. Each of the nine glass elements is hand-formed, so the exact shape, thickness and internal resin distribution vary between individual pieces and between different fittings. This is a characteristic of the handmade construction.

What dimmer is needed?

A trailing-edge dimmer rated for halogen loads of at least 180W is required. Leading-edge dimmers designed for resistive loads may cause buzzing or flickering with halogen bulbs.
