Description

The Love is a 600mm semi-flush ceiling light with nine G4 bulbs housed within handcrafted glass rods that radiate from a central polished chrome frame. Each glass rod contains a gloss white resin core that diffuses the light and gives the appearance of branching organic forms, with the rods flaring outward in varied lengths and angles from the central mounting point.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Love works in dining rooms, hallways and large bedrooms where a statement fitting is needed without the drop of a pendant. The 400mm height keeps the fitting close to the ceiling while the 600mm diameter provides sufficient spread for spaces up to 20-25m². The nine G4 bulbs are included and rated at 20W each, giving a combined 180W output that delivers bright task and ambient light across medium-sized rooms.

The handcrafted glass rods are individually shaped, so the exact contour and length vary between pieces. This variation is intentional and gives each Love fitting a slightly different profile when viewed from below. The polished chrome frame and mounting plate reflect light back into the room and pair with both cool-toned and warm-toned interiors. The fitting weighs 9kg and requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or reinforced mounting point.

Yes. The fitting ships with nine G4 halogen bulbs rated at 20W each. Replacement G4 bulbs are widely available, but note that the fitting is not compatible with LED or CFL G4 lamps — only halogen G4 bulbs should be used.

Is it dimmable?

Yes. The Love is dimmable when paired with a trailing-edge dimmer switch suitable for halogen loads up to 180W. Leading-edge dimmers are not recommended and may cause flickering or buzzing.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 400mm projection from the ceiling means this fitting works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In rooms with 2.3m ceilings the lower edge of the glass rods will sit approximately 1.9m from the floor, which may feel low in walkways.

How is the fitting secured?

The 9kg weight requires the ceiling mounting plate to be fixed directly to a ceiling joist or into a reinforced mounting point capable of supporting at least 15kg. Standard plasterboard fixings are not adequate for a fitting of this weight.
