Description
The Lornette is a round flush ceiling light with a satin nickel rim framing a white domed glass shade. The body is steel and the shade is painted glass, white across the dome with a clear band at its edge and a fine line circling the glass. It measures 29cm in diameter and 8.5cm high, so it sits neatly against the ceiling rather than hanging down into the room. It takes an E27 bulb of no more than 25W, and the bulb is not included, so the choice of bulb is yours. The IP20 rating settles where it goes: indoors, in a dry room.
Because it keeps so close to the ceiling, the Lornette suits rooms where a pendant would get in the way: a hallway, a landing, a bedroom or a study with a lower ceiling. The brushed satin nickel finish has a soft metallic sheen that sits comfortably beside grey walls, white paintwork or pale wood, without the glare of polished chrome. The white glass softens the bulb and spreads its light across the room, which makes it a sensible everyday choice for general lighting where you want a clean, simple look.
The steel body carries the glass shade, and small clear clips hold the glass in the rim. There is no switch on the light itself: it is switched at the wall, so you control it from a wall switch. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains, and as a wired-in mains light it is installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions come as a download, and the packed weight is 0.904KG.

No. It is rated IP20, so it belongs indoors in dry rooms such as a hallway, landing, bedroom or study, away from water and steam.
Which bulb does the Lornette take?
It takes an E27 bulb with a maximum of 25W. The bulb is not included, so you can pick the colour of light you prefer.
How large is the Lornette?

No, there is no switch on the light itself. It is switched at the wall, so you turn it on and off from a wall switch.
What materials are the body and shade?
The body is steel in a brushed satin nickel finish, and the shade is painted glass, white across the dome with a clear band at the edge.
