Description

The Lomaltas is a smart LED flush ceiling light in black and brown, built from two overlapping square frames that sit close to the ceiling on a square wooden base. The black steel frames carry white plastic diffusers that spread the light from integrated LEDs, so there are no bulbs to buy or change. It measures 77cm long, 49.5cm wide and just 8.5cm high, which keeps it neat on a lower ceiling where a pendant would get in the way. It is rated IP20, so it belongs indoors in dry rooms.

We see it in living rooms, bedrooms and home studies, anywhere you want one fitting to cover bright everyday light and a softer evening glow. Because the colour temperature runs from a warm 2700K to a cool 6500K, you can set a crisp white for working at a desk and a cosy warm tone for quiet evenings, all from the same ceiling light. It is dimmable as well, so the brightness follows the mood of the room. The black lines and pale wood suit a modern interior with a natural, earthy edge, and the open frames keep a large footprint looking light rather than heavy.

There is no switch on the fitting itself, as it is switched at the wall, and day to day you control it from an app. It also works with a remote control, sold separately and not included in the box. The integrated LEDs are rated at 4 x 8W and run on 220-240V mains. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download. One practical note: the packed weight is 2.23KG, so the box is easy for one person to carry into the house.

Frequently Asked

Can the Lomaltas go in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, which means it is meant for indoor rooms that stay dry, so we would keep it out of bathrooms and away from water.

What colour temperatures can the light produce?

The colour temperature adjusts from a warm 2700K to a cool 6500K, and the light is dimmable too, so you can set it for reading, working or relaxing.

Does it come with a remote control?

No remote is included in the box. The light is controlled by an app and also works with a remote control, which is sold separately.

How big is the ceiling light?

It is 77cm long, 49.5cm wide and 8.5cm high, so it sits close to the ceiling and suits rooms where a hanging pendant would feel too low.

What materials are the frames and base?

The body is steel and wood in black and brown, with the black frames carrying white plastic diffusers over a brown wooden base.

Does the light need a bulb?

No bulb is needed. The light source is integrated LED, rated at 4 x 8W, so the LEDs are built into the frames.
