Description

The Linea is a 1.3m LED floor lamp built around a horizontal alabaster light bar suspended from a slender matt black steel column. An integrated 6W 3000K LED sits behind the natural Spanish alabaster diffuser, casting warm light through the stone so the alabaster itself glows rather than being lit from below. The column rises from a flat rectangular base, stepping inward at a mid-height adjuster before cantilevering forward to the head.

Designed as a reading and ambient floor lamp, the Linea suits the side of an armchair, the corner of a sofa, or a study where directed task light is needed alongside softer ambient wash. The horizontal light bar projects forward of the column, placing the light source over a reading position rather than directly behind the user. The rectangular base sits flush against a wall or skirting, keeping the 400mm footprint tight enough for tighter living room layouts.

The matt black finish on the stainless steel frame minimises reflections and pairs cleanly with monochrome, contemporary and architectural interiors. Each alabaster bar shows different mineral veining and tonal variation depending on the section of stone it was cut from, so no two Linea lamps look identical when lit. The combined steel column and stone head give the lamp visual weight at the top while keeping the silhouette slim, balancing presence with a small physical footprint.

Is the Linea suitable as a reading floor lamp?

Yes. The horizontal alabaster bar projects forward of the column, placing warm 3000K light over a reading position rather than behind the user. The 6W integrated LED gives a soft ambient level rather than bright task light, so it works best in living rooms and bedrooms where a relaxed reading glow is wanted alongside other lighting.

Is the height adjustable?

The lamp has a mid-column adjuster joint that allows the upper section carrying the light bar to be raised or lowered, with an overall height of 1300mm. This lets the head be set to suit the height of an adjacent armchair or sofa.

Does the alabaster vary between pieces?

Yes. Each light bar is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural stone, not a defect, and is most visible when the LED is switched on.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
