Description

The Limbos is a 58cm circular LED flush ceiling light with a white metal body, soft gold trim and an integrated 40W 3000K LED behind an opal silicone diffuser. The light sits just 6cm from the ceiling when mounted, making it a practical choice for rooms with low ceiling heights or where a pendant would hang too close to head height.

Designed for bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and kitchens in modern and contemporary homes, the Limbos provides ambient illumination across a 12-16m² room. The opal diffuser softens the LED output and prevents glare, while the 3000K warm white colour temperature complements warm-toned interiors and works neutrally in grey or white schemes. The gold trim adds visual definition to the fixture without dominating the space.

The circular form comprises three concentric rings: an outer white ring, a mid-section gold band, and a central opal diffuser that glows when the light is on. The Class 1 earthed metal construction weighs 3.65kg and mounts directly to a ceiling rose using the included gravity toggles, which provide secure fixing in plasterboard ceilings without needing to locate joists. The IP20 rating confines use to dry indoor locations.

Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer switch model. The integrated 40W LED driver may work with trailing-edge dimmers, but this is not guaranteed. Contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm compatibility.

What room size does it suit?

The 40W output provides ambient lighting for rooms of approximately 12-16m² (bedrooms, small to medium living rooms, hallways). For larger spaces or rooms needing higher brightness, consider pairing with additional task lighting or wall lights.

Can it be installed in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating limits the Limbos to dry indoor locations only. For bathrooms, look for ceiling lights rated IP44 or higher that are certified for zones 1, 2 or 3 depending on proximity to water sources.

What ceiling height is needed?

The fixture projects just 6cm from the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights as low as 2.2m where pendants or semi-flush lights would hang too close to head height. Standard UK ceiling heights of 2.4m or above work well.
