Description
The Liego Surface 37 is a mains-voltage garden spike light that stakes directly into soil, gravel or a planted border. It runs on a 220-240V AC supply and takes a single E27 bulb up to 15W, so the output, beam character and colour tone are set by the lamp you choose rather than fixed at the fitting. Known in the US as a landscape spike or pathway light, it is built to direct light upward or across a planted area depending on how the head is angled, making it a flexible way to pick out a shrub, a small tree or the edge of a path.
Because the brightness depends on the chosen E27 lamp, coverage is best judged by placement rather than a set area. Position it close to whatever you want to graze with light, a specimen plant, a low wall or a border edge, and angle the head to throw the beam where it is wanted. The 370mm overall height lifts the head clear of low planting, while the adjustable spike lets you correct for sloping or uneven ground. With its IP44 rating it is suited to sheltered and covered outdoor spots such as a porch, carport or a planted area under eaves, rather than fully exposed positions or places exposed to direct water jets.
The body is aluminium alloy in a black finish that recedes against soil and foliage, and the fitting weighs 1.24kg with dimensions of Ø150 × 370mm. The pointed spike base pushes into the ground and holds the fixture upright without tools, and the head angle can be adjusted to aim the beam. No bulb is supplied, so the E27 lamp is specified separately to suit the brightness and colour temperature you want. Other ground and spike fittings sit alongside this model in the wider Liego range.

Frequently Asked
Is this spike light suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, within limits. Its IP44 rating means it is splash-resistant and suited to sheltered or covered outdoor positions such as a porch, carport or a planted spot under eaves. Keep it clear of fully exposed locations, direct water jets and any standing water.
Can the angle be adjusted once it is in the ground?
Yes. The head can be tilted so you can aim the beam at a plant, wall or path edge after the spike is staked. This makes it easy to fine-tune the lighting effect without repositioning the whole fitting.
Does it run on mains power or a transformer?
It runs on a standard 220-240V AC mains supply, so no separate low-voltage transformer is required. Wire it into a suitable outdoor-rated circuit and fit an E27 bulb to complete the installation.
Is a bulb included?
No, the bulb is not supplied. The fitting takes a single E27 lamp up to 15W, which lets you choose the brightness and colour temperature to suit the planting or feature you are lighting.
