Description
The LIEGO EL is a garden spike light that stakes into soil or a planted border to throw light across nearby foliage and pathways. It takes a single E27 bulb up to 15W, so the colour temperature and brightness come down to the lamp you choose rather than a fixed integrated source. Across the US this style is usually called a landscape spike light or pathway light, and the principle is the same: a pointed stake holds the head above ground so the beam can be aimed where it is wanted.
It suits front borders, planted beds and the edges of a path, where a row of spikes can pick out shrubs, grasses or a low feature wall after dark. The angle of the head can be adjusted on its stake, so the light grazes a plant or washes a section of fence rather than spilling flat across the lawn. Because this is a directional accent fitting rather than ambient room lighting, think of its reach in terms of the throw onto whatever it is pointed at and the spacing between spikes, not a floor area. With an IP44 rating it is built for splash and sheltered positions, so a porch surround, a carport edge or a covered patio border suits it better than a fully open, rain-exposed spot.
The body is aluminium alloy in a black finish, measuring Ø150 by 280 mm and weighing 1.07 kg, with the lower section forming the ground spike that is pushed into the soil. It runs on 220 to 240V AC mains and carries an E27 cap, so the bulb is not included and can be matched to the look you want. Mounting is by the spike alone, never wall or recessed, which keeps installation to siting and angling rather than fixing. Other E27 outdoor fittings sit alongside this in our Kanlux range if you want to match across a scheme.

Frequently Asked
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, with an IP44 rating it is made for sheltered and splash-prone outdoor positions such as planted borders, porch surrounds and covered patio edges. It is not rated for fully exposed sites that take direct rain or water jets, so keep it clear of open, unsheltered ground.
Can the angle be adjusted?
Yes, the head adjusts on its stake so you can aim the beam at a shrub, a feature or a stretch of fence. This lets you graze foliage or wash a surface rather than casting the light straight down.
Does it run on mains or need a transformer?
It runs directly on 220 to 240V AC mains, so no low-voltage transformer is required. The spike is pushed into the soil and wired to a suitable outdoor mains supply.
Is a bulb included?
No, the fitting takes a separate E27 bulb up to 15W, which is not supplied. This lets you choose the brightness and colour temperature to suit the planting or feature you are lighting.
