Description

The LERTO EL is a garden spike light that takes a single E27 lamp and runs from a 220-240V AC mains supply, drawing up to 15W. As a landscape spike light it is staked directly into soil or a planted border, with the head sitting above ground so the beam can be aimed at the feature you want to pick out. Because the E27 holder is open to your choice of lamp, the brightness, beam spread and colour temperature follow the bulb fitted rather than a fixed integrated source.

Staked into a bed, border or pot, it suits accent lighting around shrubs, low trees, fences and garden walls. The spike anchors the fitting in soft ground and the body can be angled to graze a surface or wash light upward across foliage, so coverage is best judged by the lamp you choose and how close the spike sits to the target rather than by a room area. The IP54 rating makes it splash-resistant and suited to sheltered, covered spots such as a porch, carport or a position under planting cover; keep it clear of fully-exposed locations, direct water jets and standing water.

The body is aluminium alloy in a black finish, weighing 824g for a stable footing once spiked. The IP54 seal guards against splashing and windblown dust in protected positions. There is no integrated driver, since the fitting runs direct from mains AC into the E27 holder, so no separate transformer needs sourcing. No lamp is supplied, leaving the output and tone to your chosen bulb. The LERTO EL spike sits within our wider Kanlux outdoor range alongside matching ground and wall fittings.

Is it suitable for outdoor use?

It carries an IP54 rating, which makes it splash-resistant and suited to sheltered or covered outdoor positions such as a porch, carport or a spot under planting cover. It is not rated for fully-exposed locations, direct water jets or submersion. For an open, unprotected position choose a higher-rated fitting.

Can the angle be adjusted?

Yes. Once the spike is pushed into soil or a border the head can be angled so the beam grazes a wall or washes upward through foliage. This lets you aim the light at the feature you want to highlight without moving the spike.

Does it run from the mains or need a transformer?

It runs directly from a 220-240V AC mains supply and draws up to 15W, so no separate transformer or driver is needed. It should be connected by a qualified electrician to a suitable outdoor mains circuit.

Is a bulb included?

No bulb is supplied. The fitting takes a standard E27 lamp, so you can choose the wattage, beam and colour temperature that suit the feature you are lighting, up to the 15W maximum.
