Description

This is the larger of the two hanging lanterns in the BARE range, drawn in house by Jack Harte in galvanised mild steel, for houses where a Victorian lantern would look borrowed. It stands 370mm tall. It is carried on a chain.

It belongs on a porch, a covered entrance, a carriage arch or an open-sided outbuilding. The same pattern runs from 290mm to 370mm, so you can match a pair across two positions without changing the look.

Glazing is hand-cut glass and the lamp is an E27 screw fitting supplied without a bulb, so you choose the output and the colour rather than accepting a sealed unit. It is made in galvanised steel. Harte make, spray and glaze each light to order in County Wexford, so allow two to five weeks, and any RAL colour can go on in place of gloss black if you say so when ordering. Wiring an outdoor fitting needs a qualified electrician.
