Clear crystal on polished chrome, cut into a compact drum that stands taller than it is wide at 13cm across and 31cm high. Being non-electric, this is the shade on its own, ready to dress a fitting you already have or one you are putting together from parts. The crystal catches whatever light sits behind it and scatters small bright points across the surfaces nearby, so it reads more like jewellery than a plain diffuser, and the chrome keeps the whole thing crisp rather than fussy.

It is a dual mount shade, which means it can hang from a pendant suspension or sit upright on a table or floor lamp base. The lamp belongs to the host fitting, and a GLS LED of up to 20W is the sensible choice here, kept gentle so the cut faces do the work. We reach for this one over a bedside table or a narrow console where a wide fabric shade would swallow the space, and it works well on a pair of lamps either side of a mirror.
