Description

Curved sides and a gently tapered trapezium outline give this small shade its shape, with clear crystal catching and breaking up the light across every face. The crystal is paired with polished chrome, so the piece reads bright and reflective rather than solid, and the two finishes hold each other in balance. At 22cm across and 23cm tall it is compact, sized to sharpen a fitting rather than take it over. It is a shade only and non-electric, so the lampholder and the lamp belong to the host fitting it goes on.

We would use this where a bare lamp needs a little more presence: over a bedside table, at a dressing table, or on a small pendant drop in a hallway or a cloakroom. Because it is made for dual mounting, it works just as well on a suspension as on a table lamp base, which makes it a tidy way to keep one look running through a scheme. An LED GLS lamp in the host fitting suits it best, keeping the light steady behind the crystal.

The crystal is the whole point here, cut and set against polished chrome for contrast at the edges. An occasional wipe with a clean lint-free cloth keeps the faces clear; skip household sprays and anything abrasive, and switch the fitting off and let it cool first. It carries a one year warranty.
