Description
The Koria is a 130cm round dining table that extends to 230cm, seating six to eight people depending on configuration. The circular top is made from high-resistance melamine-coated MDF finished in a grey stone texture, giving the appearance of natural stone without the weight or maintenance requirements. The base is a matte black fluted pedestal that tapers from a wide foot to a narrower column where it meets the underside of the top.
Designed for open-plan kitchens, dining rooms and dining areas where the table sits visibly in the room rather than against a wall, the round shape allows guests to face each other without a head-of-table hierarchy. The extension mechanism stores beneath the top and unfolds to add 100cm of length, converting the table from a compact 130cm circle to a 230cm oval. This allows the table to function as a four-person breakfast table during the week and an eight-person dining table when needed.
The grey stone finish on the top shows subtle tonal variation across the surface, mimicking the natural mineral patterns of limestone or concrete. The matte black edging that outlines the perimeter gives a defined transition between the top and the space around it, particularly noticeable when the table is extended and the join line becomes visible. At 84kg the table has substantial mass, which prevents movement during use but requires two people to reposition or assemble.
The pedestal base sits on a wide circular foot approximately 60cm in diameter, providing stability without requiring legs at the table's edge. This frees knee space for chairs to tuck fully under the table and allows flexible seating positions around the perimeter. The matte black finish on the base pairs with the grey top to create strong tonal contrast, working in monochrome, industrial and Japandi-style interiors where black frames and neutral stone tones are foundational.

Frequently Asked
How does the extension mechanism work?
The extension stores beneath the tabletop and unfolds to add 100cm of length, converting the 130cm round table to a 230cm oval. The mechanism is manual and typically requires one person to operate, though two people make alignment easier.
What is the grey stone finish made from?
The top is high-resistance melamine-coated MDF with a textured grey stone finish. It mimics the appearance of natural stone or concrete but is lighter, more resistant to moisture and easier to clean than real stone.
How many people does it seat when extended?
At 130cm round it comfortably seats four to six people. Extended to 230cm it seats six to eight, depending on chair size and whether you need elbow space for serving dishes on the table.
Does the base provide enough knee clearance?
Yes. The pedestal base sits on a circular foot approximately 60cm in diameter, which leaves the table perimeter free of legs. This allows chairs to tuck fully under and provides flexible seating positions around the edge without obstruction.
