Description

The Kopus is a 4 light semi-flush ceiling fitting built around a polished chrome square frame measuring 250mm across, with four frosted glass tubes positioned at each corner angled outward from the centre. Each tube houses a G9 bulb (included) behind frosted glass that diffuses light evenly without direct glare. The 175mm drop from ceiling to base keeps the fitting close to the ceiling plane while providing 360-degree light distribution.

Designed for rooms with standard ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Kopus suits living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and kitchens where ambient light is needed without the drop of a pendant. The semi-flush format provides downward and lateral light throw, making it effective for general room illumination in spaces up to 12-15m². The polished chrome finish reflects room light and pairs with both cool-toned contemporary interiors and warmer traditional schemes where chrome is already present in door furniture or radiators.

The frosted glass tubes are cylindrical and seated within chrome sockets that pivot slightly during assembly, allowing the installer to adjust lamp alignment for even light distribution. The glass softens the output from each G9 bulb, turning four point light sources into a more diffuse ambient glow. Yes. The Kopus ships with four G9 bulbs pre-installed. Each lamp is rated up to 40W, giving a combined output suitable for ambient room lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable G9 bulbs and pair the fitting with a compatible dimmer switch. The included bulbs are dimmable, but if you replace them later you must ensure the replacement bulbs are also rated for dimming.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 175mm drop from ceiling to base suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In lower-ceiling rooms the fitting still works but sits closer to head height in taller occupants, so consider placement away from main walkways.

How is it fitted?

The Kopus mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose using a central backplate. The polished chrome canopy covers the ceiling fixings, and the glass tubes clip into sockets on the frame. Installation requires mains wiring knowledge or a qualified electrician.
