Description

The Knightsbridge NH017W is a 120mm round recessed LED brick light with a grey die-cast aluminium faceplate and an integrated 0.8W SMD LED producing 55 lumens of 6000K cool white downlight. The fitting sits almost flush with the wall, projecting just 6mm from the surface once installed, with a 70mm recessed depth behind the mounting surface and a 110mm cut-out required for the installation sleeve.

Designed for recessed installation into brick walls, rendered walls, boundary walls and low garden walls, the fitting provides low-level path lighting, step marking and driveway edge definition without protruding into the walking route. The IP44 rating protects against water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for exposed outdoor locations including unsheltered paths and driveways. The Class II double-insulated construction removes the need for an earth connection.

The grey powder-coated aluminium finish blends with rendered walls, concrete and grey-toned brickwork, reducing visual impact during daylight hours. The 6000K cool white LED casts a crisp daylight-toned downwash through horizontal louvres moulded into the clear diffuser, directing light downwards onto the ground rather than out into the surrounding space. At 0.8W per fitting, a run of six brick lights consumes the same power as a single traditional 5W bulb.

The fitting requires a 70mm recessed depth behind the mounting surface and a 110mm diameter hole for the installation sleeve. This suits standard single-skin brick walls (typically 102mm thick) and cavity walls where the outer skin is at least 102mm thick.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 0.8W SMD LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced. The L70B50 rating of 50,000 hours indicates the LED will maintain at least 70% of its initial light output for approximately 50,000 hours of operation, equivalent to over 11 years at 12 hours per day.

Can it be used on steps or near water features?

Yes. The IP44 rating protects against water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for use on steps, near water features, and in other locations where occasional water contact is expected. It is not submersible and should not be installed where it will be submerged or subjected to high-pressure water jets.

What colour temperature is the light?
