Description

The Knightsbridge WAD12ABK is an IP65-rated outdoor wall light with two independently adjustable 6W LED modules housed in a die-cast aluminium body finished in matt black. Each module directs light either up or down, with beam angles adjustable from 0° to 100° to create symmetrical wall wash, asymmetrical accent lighting, or focused directional beams depending on the installation requirement.

Designed for residential entrances, garden pathways, garage walls and commercial building facades, the fitting provides 600 lumens total output at 3000K warm white. The IP65 rating protects against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, making it suitable for exposed outdoor positions in UK weather. The 100mm square profile and 100mm projection suit most standard wall surfaces without dominating the architecture.

The die-cast aluminium construction resists corrosion better than pressed steel, and the powder-coated matt black finish minimises surface reflections under daylight. Each LED module sits behind a prismatic diffuser that softens the beam edge and reduces glare when viewed directly. The fitting connects to mains 230V 50Hz via rear cable entry and uses Class I earthing for safety. The integrated LEDs are rated for 30,000 hours L70B50 (the point at which 50% of LEDs still deliver 70% of their original output).

Yes. Each of the two LED modules adjusts independently from 0° to 100°, allowing you to set different beam angles for the upward and downward light. This lets you create symmetrical wall wash effects or asymmetrical accent lighting depending on the installation.

What does IP65 mean for outdoor use?

IP65 means the fitting is fully protected against dust ingress and can withstand low-pressure water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for exposed outdoor positions in typical UK weather, including rain and wind-driven moisture.

Is this suitable for coastal locations?

Die-cast aluminium with powder-coated finish provides good corrosion resistance, but coastal locations with salt spray may accelerate surface degradation over time. For high-exposure coastal settings, stainless steel fittings offer better long-term durability.

The fitting connects to mains 230V 50Hz via rear cable entry and uses Class I earthing. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with current UK wiring regulations.
