Description
The Knightsbridge 24DC25D is a 25W constant voltage LED driver that converts 230V mains to 24V DC output, designed to power low-voltage LED strip lighting, tape lights and integrated LED fittings. The driver outputs a stable 24V regardless of the connected load up to the 25W maximum, ensuring consistent brightness across the entire LED installation.
Installed out-of-sight above ceilings, inside cabinetry, or behind lighting pelmets, the driver sits between the mains supply and the LED load. The compact 128mm × 52mm × 30mm ABS housing fits into shallow ceiling voids and furniture cavities where larger drivers would not. The IP20 rating limits the driver to dry indoor locations only — kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, wardrobes and retail displays where moisture ingress is not expected.
The driver is dimmable when paired with trailing-edge (electronic) mains dimmers, allowing brightness control from standard wall-mounted dimmer switches. Compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model, so testing before final installation is recommended. Built-in protections guard against open circuit, short circuit, overload and over-temperature faults, automatically shutting down the output if a fault is detected. The Class II double-insulated construction provides SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) output without requiring an earth connection on the secondary side.

Frequently Asked
What type of dimmer does this require?
The driver is compatible with trailing-edge (electronic) dimmers only. Leading-edge dimmers will not work and may cause flickering or failure to dim. Check your dimmer specification before pairing, and test compatibility during installation before completing the wiring.
Can this be used outdoors or in bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating means the driver is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, wetrooms, outdoor installations or any environment where moisture or condensation is present.
What LED loads can this power?
The driver powers any 24V DC LED load up to 25W total. This includes 24V LED strip, tape lights, under-cabinet LED modules and integrated LED fittings rated for constant voltage input. Do not exceed the 25W maximum combined load.
Does it need ventilation when installed?
Yes. The driver generates heat during operation and requires airflow around the housing to prevent over-temperature shutdown. Do not install in sealed boxes or tightly packed cavities — leave at least 20mm clearance on all sides for heat dissipation.
