Description

The Knightsbridge DIM350mA/12W350DA is a constant current LED driver delivering 350mA output across an 18-35V voltage range, supporting LED loads between 1W and 12W. The driver maintains steady current to the connected LED module regardless of minor voltage fluctuations, which helps prolong LED lifespan and prevent premature failure caused by current spikes.

Designed for integration into pendant lights, wall sconces, downlights and architectural fittings where the driver can be concealed within the ceiling void, wall cavity or luminaire body, the unit measures 98mm x 39mm x 22mm and weighs approximately 60g. The compact size allows it to fit inside most ceiling roses and pendants with sufficient internal volume. The driver requires 230V 50Hz mains input and outputs 18-35V DC depending on the connected LED load.

The DIM350DA is dimmable when paired with trailing-edge LED-compatible dimmers. Compatibility with specific dimmer models varies, so testing with the exact dimmer switch and LED module combination is recommended before full installation. The polycarbonate case carries Class II double-insulated construction and an IP20 rating, meaning it must be installed in dry indoor locations only and cannot be exposed to moisture or outdoor conditions.

Frequently Asked

What does constant current mean and why does it matter?

Constant current drivers maintain a fixed current output (in this case 350mA) regardless of minor voltage fluctuations. This prevents current spikes that can damage LEDs and helps prolong LED lifespan. Constant current is required for most LED modules and LED arrays designed to run on a specific mA rating.

Will this work with my dimmer switch?

The DIM350DA is compatible with most trailing-edge LED dimmers, but compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model and the connected LED load. Leading-edge dimmers are not supported. Test the driver with your exact dimmer and LED combination before full installation to confirm smooth dimming without flicker.

Where can the driver be installed?

The IP20 rating means the driver must be installed in dry indoor locations only. Typical installation locations include ceiling voids above plasterboard, inside pendant light canopies, within wall sconce bodies, or in recessed downlight housings where the unit is protected from moisture and physical contact.

What LED wattage range does it support?

The driver supports LED loads from 1W to 12W at 350mA constant current. The output voltage adjusts automatically between 18V and 35V depending on the connected load. Use LED modules rated for 350mA operation within this wattage range.
