Description

A plain circle in sand white, this is one of the smaller outdoor wall lights we keep, measuring 70mm across the face. It takes a single GU10 lamp, and an LED reflector is what we would put in it. There is no switch on the body and no dimming, so it works from whatever switch or circuit already controls the outside lighting. The projection is short, which keeps the fitting tucked in close rather than jutting out at shoulder height.

Outside, it earns its place beside a front door, over a back step, along a garden wall or on the side of a garage. It is sealed against dust and splashing water, so a wet night does it no harm. The small face suits repetition; spaced along a boundary wall or a driveway edge it reads as a line of quiet marks rather than a row of lanterns. It is one we reach for where a porch lantern would swamp a narrow entrance, and it suits modern render and clean brickwork as readily as an older cottage doorway.

The sand white finish is soft and pale rather than bright, which stops it glaring against painted walls in daylight. Keep it clear of cobwebs and leaf litter, and wipe the casing with a damp cloth when the weather has left a film on it, drying it off before the light goes back on. It carries a two year warranty. The same round shape runs through the range alongside a square version, and we stock both in anthracite, rust brown and sand black as well as this sand white. Lamps are supplied separately.
