Description

The JCB Ultra is a 9V PP3 6LR61 alkaline battery delivering up to ten times the power output of standard zinc-carbon 9V cells. The ultra-alkaline chemistry maintains voltage stability under sustained high-drain loads, making it suitable for smoke alarms, wireless microphones, guitar effects pedals, digital multimeters and active instrument preamps that draw continuous current.

Designed for devices that remain powered continuously or cycle frequently between standby and active states, the battery resists voltage sag better than zinc alternatives when driving circuits that draw 50-150mA at peak. Smoke alarms benefit from the extended service life between replacements, reducing the frequency of low-battery alerts. Wireless microphone transmitters and instrument preamps maintain output level consistency over the battery's discharge cycle, avoiding the drop-off in signal strength that occurs as cheaper cells deplete.

The battery measures 48mm height x 26mm width x 17mm depth in the standard PP3 form factor, fitting any device with a 9V snap connector.
