The JCB mixed lithium coin cell battery pack contains six 3V lithium button cells across three sizes: two CR2016, two CR2025, and two CR2032. Each cell uses lithium chemistry for stable voltage output across the discharge cycle, suitable for low-drain devices like watches, calculators, and car key fobs, as well as moderate-drain applications including fitness trackers and glucose monitors.

Designed as a multi-device solution, the mixed pack eliminates the need to order separate quantities of each size. CR2032 cells measure 20mm diameter x 3.2mm thick and are the most common size for computer motherboards, bathroom scales, and remote controls. CR2025 cells at 20mm x 2.5mm fit thinner devices including some wristwatches and compact car remotes. CR2016 cells at 20mm x 1.6mm power ultra-slim devices such as certain fitness trackers and small LED keyring lights.

Lithium coin cells deliver consistent voltage until near the end of their service life, unlike alkaline cells which exhibit gradual voltage drop. This makes them particularly suited to devices with minimum voltage requirements, such as digital watches and medical equipment that rely on stable power to maintain accurate timekeeping or readings. The cells are packaged in blister format with individual cell identification printed on the card for easy selection.

What devices use these battery sizes?

CR2032 is the most common size, used in computer motherboards, bathroom scales, car remotes, and LED tealights. CR2025 fits slimmer car remotes, wristwatches, and small calculators. How long do lithium coin cells last?

Shelf life is typically 5-10 years when stored at room temperature. In-device lifespan depends on the application: a wristwatch might run 2-3 years on a CR2025, while a car remote might last 3-5 years on a CR2032. High-drain devices like fitness trackers with backlights and Bluetooth drain cells faster, typically 6-18 months.

Can these replace alkaline button cells?

No. Lithium coin cells output 3V, while alkaline button cells (LR44, AG13, etc.) output 1.5V. They are not interchangeable. Always replace with the same chemistry and size specified by the device manufacturer.

Are they safe around children?

Coin cells pose a serious ingestion hazard to children and should be stored out of reach. If swallowed, they can cause severe internal burns within hours. The blister packaging includes child-resistant features, but loose cells must be kept away from children at all times.
