Description

The JCB 15-pack mixed alkaline coin cell assortment contains three cells each of five common button battery sizes: AG1 (364), AG3 (392), AG4 (377), AG12 (386), and AG13 (357). Each cell delivers 1.5V and uses alkaline chemistry for a stable discharge curve across devices including wristwatches, calculators, key fobs, medical instruments, hearing aids, and small LED torches.

Designed for households and small workshops needing multiple battery types without buying full packs of each size, the mixed assortment covers the majority of coin cell requirements for everyday electronics. The AG13 (357/LR44 equivalent) and AG12 (386/LR43 equivalent) are among the most commonly used button cells in watches and toys, while the smaller AG1, AG3 and AG4 sizes fit calculator displays, laser pointers and compact remote controls.

JCB alkaline coin cells use a leak-resistant seal construction to reduce the risk of electrolyte leakage that can damage device terminals. The cells are supplied in blister packaging with each size clearly labelled on the card, making it straightforward to identify the correct cell for replacement. Shelf life under normal storage conditions is approximately three years from manufacture date.

Frequently Asked

What devices do these battery sizes fit?

AG1/364 and AG3/392 fit small watches, calculators and laser pointers. AG4/377 suits watches and small medical devices. AG12/386 (LR43 equivalent) fits watches, toys and calculators. AG13/357 (LR44 equivalent) is the most widely used size for watches, toys, remote controls and LED keyring torches.

Are these the same as SR batteries?

No. SR-prefix batteries (SR44, SR43, SR626SW) use silver oxide chemistry and provide a flatter voltage discharge, which is preferred for precision devices like watches. These AG/LR alkaline cells provide lower cost but a slightly sloping discharge curve. Both types will physically fit the same devices but alkaline cells typically have shorter run-time in high-drain applications.

How long do alkaline coin cells last in storage?

JCB alkaline coin cells have an approximate three-year shelf life when stored at room temperature in the original blister packaging, away from direct heat and humidity. Cells stored in hot environments or past their use-by date may show reduced capacity.

Can I mix old and new cells in the same device?

No. Devices requiring multiple coin cells (such as certain toys or remote controls) should use cells from the same batch and of the same age. Mixing old and new cells can cause uneven discharge and potential leakage.
