Description

The Jax is a 705mm diameter starburst chandelier built around a central midnight black sphere from which ten slender arms radiate outward in different planes, each terminating in a satin brass cone shade housing a 3W LED G9 bulb. The cone shades face outward and upward at varying angles, directing light across the ceiling and down into the room rather than into a single plane.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living areas with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Jax provides ambient and decorative light rather than focused task illumination. The 1700mm maximum drop allows the chandelier to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table in rooms with standard ceiling heights, or shortened to 477mm minimum drop for lower ceilings or where a closer-to-ceiling mounting is preferred. The black canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the cable run is adjustable on installation.

The midnight black finish on the arms and central sphere provides a matt, low-reflection surface that recedes visually against darker ceilings, while the satin brass cone shades catch and reflect the LED light back into the room. The combination of black metalwork and warm brass accents suits mid-century modern, Art Deco-inspired and industrial interiors, and the asymmetric arrangement of the ten arms gives the chandelier a sculptural presence even when unlit. The included 3000K LED bulbs provide warm white light and are dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch.

Are the LED bulbs replaceable?

Yes. The chandelier uses ten standard G9 LED bulbs rated at 3W each, which are included. If a bulb fails, replacement G9 LEDs are widely available and can be swapped without rewiring the fitting.

Is the Jax dimmable?

The included 3000K LED G9 bulbs are dimmable when paired with a compatible LED dimmer switch. Not all dimmers work with LED loads, so check compatibility before installation or contact us for dimmer recommendations.

What ceiling height is needed?

The chandelier works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above. For a dining table or kitchen island, the fitting typically hangs 700-900mm above the surface. The drop is adjustable between 477mm and 1700mm on installation, allowing flexibility for different ceiling heights.

How is the brass finish maintained?

The satin brass cone shades are lacquered to prevent tarnishing. Wipe gently with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. Avoid abrasive cleaners or polishes, which can damage the lacquer and cause uneven ageing.
