This table lamp pairs a rounded stoneware base with a linen drum shade, both in grey. The base is a full, globe-like form with a speckled, pitted surface, so it has plenty of texture to catch the eye. The whole lamp stands 59.5cm tall and is 40cm across at its widest, and the shade alone is 30cm tall and 40cm across. That makes it a generous size for a table lamp, large enough to hold its own on a console or a broad side table. At 5.4KG it is a substantial piece, which is what you would expect from a stoneware body.

We would put it on a side table beside an armchair or sofa in a living room, or on a wide bedside table in a bedroom, where the linen shade softens the light for reading and quiet evenings.
