Description
The IQ-LEDEX is a GU10 LED spotlight bulb that gives a directional, wide-spread beam from a compact PAR16 lamp. It draws just 4.7 W yet puts out 850 lumens, replacing an old 89 W spotlight while running on standard 220 to 240 V mains through its twist-lock GU10 cap. The 100 degree beam angle is broad for a spotlight, spreading light over a wider area rather than tightly focusing it, and the 4000K cool white tone keeps colours crisp and clear. Across the Atlantic this twist-lock GU10 format sits alongside the bi-pin reflector lamps used in directional ceiling spots.
The wide 100 degree beam and cool white output suit kitchens, utility rooms, home offices and retail or display spaces where you want even, bright coverage from recessed or surface ceiling spots rather than a narrow pool of light. Several lamps spaced across a ceiling will wash a room evenly, and the broad spread means fewer dark patches between fittings. Because it is a GU10 mains bulb it drops straight into existing GU10 spot fittings with no transformer needed, unlike low-voltage MR16 GU5.3 lamps. It is rated for dry indoor use only, so keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and any outdoor or damp position.
Built as a PAR16 reflector lamp in a silver finish, the bulb measures 50 mm in diameter by 56 mm long and weighs 46 g, so it fits the standard GU10 housing. Its CRI of Ra 80 renders everyday colours faithfully, and efficiency reaches 181 lm/W for low running costs against a rated 50,000 hour lifespan. This is a non-dimmable lamp, so pair it with a standard non-dimming circuit. The wider Niori range covers further GU10 LED bulbs in alternative wattages and tones.

Frequently Asked
Which fitting does this bulb need?
It has a GU10 twist-lock cap, the standard mains-voltage fitting used in most ceiling and track spotlights. You simply push it in and twist a quarter turn to lock. It runs directly on 220 to 240 V mains, so no transformer or driver is required, unlike low-voltage MR16 GU5.3 lamps.
What old spotlight wattage does it replace?
The bulb draws only 4.7 W but delivers 850 lumens, equivalent to an older 89 W halogen spotlight. You get the same usable brightness for a fraction of the power, which is reflected in its 181 lm/W efficiency.
Is this bulb dimmable?
No, this is a non-dimmable lamp. Fit it to a standard non-dimming circuit, as using it on a dimmer switch can cause flicker or shorten its life.
How long does it last?
It is rated for 50,000 hours of use, so under typical household conditions it should run for many years before needing replacement. The 4.7 W draw also keeps running costs low over that lifespan.
