Description

The IQ-LED is a 30W LED floodlight built around an integrated PIR motion sensor, switching on automatically as movement is detected across its field. It delivers 3450 lumens of neutral 4000K light at an efficiency of 115 lm/W, spread through a wide 100° beam for even, broad coverage rather than a narrow throw. Anyone shopping in the US would recognise this as a sensor-activated LED security flood light, the kind mounted above a door or driveway to light an area on approach.

The wide 100° beam suits driveways, side passages, yards and the area immediately around entrances, washing a broad foreground with light as someone walks into range. With 3450 lumens it covers the typical reach of a domestic security fitting, throwing usable light across a parking space or back garden rather than picking out a single distant point. As a guide to brightness, an old halogen floodlight runs at roughly 20 lumens per watt, so this output is in the region of a 170W halogen unit while drawing only 30W from the mains. Mount it high on a wall or under a sheltered ceiling, angled down to catch movement along the route you want lit.

The body is metal in a black finish, rated IP65 for fully exposed outdoor and wet locations, so it stands up to driving rain and dust on an open wall. It runs directly from 220-240V AC mains with the PIR sensor built in, weighs 406g and is rated for 50,000 hours. This fitting is not dimmable. It mounts to a wall or ceiling.

Frequently Asked

How bright is this floodlight and what does it replace?

It produces 3450 lumens of 4000K neutral white light from 30W. Against an old halogen floodlight at around 20 lumens per watt, that output is roughly equivalent to a 170W halogen unit, for a fraction of the running cost.

How does the PIR sensor work and what area does it cover?

The built-in PIR detects movement and switches the light on automatically, then off again after a set period. The wide 100° beam gives broad coverage across a driveway or entrance, lighting the foreground as someone comes into range rather than throwing a tight long-distance beam.

Can it be used fully outdoors in the rain?

Yes. It is rated IP65, which means it is weatherproof and suitable for exposed outdoor and wet locations, so it can be fitted to an open wall facing the weather.

How do I clean and maintain the floodlight?

Wipe the front lens with a soft damp cloth once the unit is switched off and cool, clearing any dust or cobwebs that can dim the output or trigger the sensor. Keep the PIR window clear so detection stays reliable.
